T is all about delving into the dark of these characters but also showing us the slivers of light in them too. Their love is a recipe for disaster at best and being put in the ground at worst.

He’s the go to guy for making people disappear for the Bedlam Brotherhood and she’s a con artist for a rival organisation. This is not hearts and flowers and teddy bears. She does a jam up job on this one as well!Ī gripping opener to this must listen series. I do recommend this book if you love Fraziers other works.

and I took a star from it, bc I am big on an author sticking to the story and not changing things that make a story more fantasy than "real life" fiction. maybe reading Preppys story (and Bears) Will help me accept this reversal better, But as of now it left me kinda blah. i was filled in through dialogue from book 2 just how that call was possible and I know so many of you just LOVE you some Preppy (and so do I).but it's quite disappointing that something so vital from the King books and such an important epilogue from tyrant are now insignificant bc he was never really dead (which also still is super irrational). the ONLY issue I have (and remember I hadn't read Preppys books yet) is the cameo of Bear and the phone call he gets from preppy. to me this story is less sex-filled then I'm used to but the substance of the actual plot fills in nicely. I did like how Lacking was set up, like the wild west of gangsters. the brotherhood is the gang you would be crazy not to want to be a part of.i mean they are a true family and I loved Belly and Marci (I would love to hear their story). the connection made between the 2 at a time where it could have been done totally inappropriately (bc of the age of both), was instead done in a way to show how important that connection was without making it a sexual connection between a 12 year old and 17 year old. from the start it's very hard not to fall for Tricks, She is just as adorable as she is street smart. overall story: this will contain some spoilers (especially for those that haven't read Preppy or Bears story). for once, I don't have an issue with either narrator (it's a miracle). most of the male narrators I've loved (and no one will replace the delicious Christian Fox as Jake), but I very much enjoyed this male narrator as Grim. far too often (especially in Fraziers audibles), the female sounds too old to be 17-18 years old. overall performance (narrators): I may have found my new fav female narrator. this series takes place AFTER all their stories are told, so some details took me by surprise. looking back, that might have been my mistake. I couldn't wait to read this series so I put both Bear and Preppys stories on the backburner to dive into this one.

I recently discovered and fell in love with TM Frazier's work.her bad boys are right up on my list with March and Sky's.
